At the tender age of 15, I started selling handmade leather goods at the flea market with my grandfather

 

It was more than just a hobby; I discovered the magic of connecting with people through the art of leatherworking.

Rome: The city that rekindled my fire

 

Despite my deep love for the leather trade, I studied economics in Chicago because I believed it was the most sensible decision.
 

But my heart never left the craft. It was a life-changing trip to Rome that reignited my passion.
 

I was overwhelmed by the artistic spirit of the city, its streets lined with history and romance.
 

In Rome, I fell in love all over again - not only with the city, but also with the art of making leather bags.
 

Determined to delve deeper into the subject, I traveled through Europe and learned from masters who taught me the ancient techniques that now define my creations.

Realizing dreams in the smallest of spaces
 

When I returned to the US, life brought me love and partnership in the form of my wife, and together we set out to realize my dream.

 

At the age of 27, I opened my first boutique in a picturesque corner of Los Angeles with very little money and a lot of determination.
 

These first few years were a rollercoaster ride with highs and lows.

 

It was difficult to reconcile the demands of a new company with family life, especially with my daughter Lisa.
 

But with every challenge came a new opportunity to grow, improve and create leather bags that make people's lives easier.
